Sir/Madam:

I have learned that you are in need of an Accounting Manager from your advertisement in the 29th January edition of Manila Bulletin and I believe that I have the necessary credentials for this role.

I have a considerable experience working as an accountant and I have an academic background to support my candidacy for the position.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my suitability for this interesting position in person. Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information or need to complete an Application Form. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Respectfully yours,

ALEXA ANNE M. ABAD

EDSA People Power Revolution

The People Power Revolution (also known as the EDSA Revolution and the Philippine Revolution of 1986) was a series of popular nonviolent revolutions and prayerful mass street demonstrations in the Philippines that occurred in 1986, which marked the restoration of the country's democracy.
This year, we are celebrating its 25th anniversary. We should commemorate this event for us to be awakened of what is happening on today's governance. Before, Ferdinand Marcos was consolidating power by manipulating public opinions, stealing elections, perfecting the arts of political patronage and bribery. If this event didn't happen, our country would live with the most powerful dictator for more years. Arrests and assassinations will keep Filipinos living in fear.
For 26 years, still, there is no significant change in the country's condition. Still, there are corruptions and much worse as evidence of the last administration. When can our beloved country achieve real change in its government and to those at the seat of power?

Lovers' Day

"Love cures people - both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it."
Valentine's Day is an annual commemoration held on February 14 celebrating love and affection between intimate lovers. Its symbol is heart ().
To some, Valentine's Day is to celebrate love and happiness, but for me, it was like every other day.. just an ordinary day. In fact, not many people know about St Valentine. Do all people go to church during Valentine's Day? Why do some of them give cards to their pets? What was the significance of that?
We should all know that Valentine's Day isn't about giving cards, flowers, chocolates, etc. It's about a hopelessly romantic man, who died loving a woman. But no one cares.

Dear Ma'am Mildred,

I am very proud that I am one of your students. You motivate me to laugh. You motivate me to cry. And because of that, I am very interested to learn. Every day, I am waiting for your advice. I am very thankful that I am learning a lot from you, especially from the stories of your experiences.
I am a shy type of person but your activities helps me get a better friendship with my classmates. Your advice helps me a lot if I have problems. So now, I learned how to get along with others and solve my own problems. Thank you Ma'am.
I hope we can be friends. And for that frienship to last forever.

Love,
Alexa

Messing Up Onstage

All of a sudden, I became excited. I know it will not be the same as our other performances. I t wasn't that familiar for us, so we had a hard time working on our steps and actings. I admit, I don't like some of their ideas but I don't want to tell them because they're the one to act and I know that they know what they're doing. I just don't understand why we have to act like that.
Our performance, I think was one of my most embarrassing moments. I acted as props: curtain, door, machine, and table. It's okay. It's just what I wanted to do. I don't want to be one of the centers of attraction.
After the performance, as what I've expected, Ma'am Maye didn't like it because according to her, it's not a "Pantomime." It's more like a stage play even if we don't utter words. We just laughed at that. We had fun. It's another great experience. We know that, the next time we will be performing, we already know what to do and we will not be MESSING UP ONSTAGE!
